Coming Along

2.16.2013

The remodeling is coming along. We escaped to Jackson for Arthur's 7 days off while they finished up the last minute touches. Oh yeah! 7 off!

Let me catch you up.... He recently changed to ER. He's no longer in the clinic. I was a little hesitant, but so far I'm LOVING this schedule. This was just a decision he made on his own. No hard feelings to anyone, he just loves ER work. The ER here is short -handed; therefore it was a win/win.

So during the 7 off we stayed at the reservoir (wondering if we should call Noah to build an ark because of the constant rain), & we got out & explored the Children's museum, the rodeo, & of course the mall! We also visited Dr. Stewart for AE's checkup & to get the ball rolling on her blocked tear duct procedure. AE did great at the pediatrician's office, & having a great doc who had us in & out in an hour was a new high for mommy!

We are back to the Boro & the only thing we are waiting on is our decorator to get us some new curtains & arrange all the furniture, etc. Woo hoo! Happy Weekend!

Some shots I've gotten of the playroom along the way.

Sliding through the intestines a the Children's Museum
We met our friends John, Hope, and Wilt at Barnes and Noble. Wilt had just finished experiencing the rodeo for the first time. Yee haw!
Petting the cow at the Rodeo Livestock Show
She LOVES farm animals. Milking the cow at the Children's Museum was the highlight of the day for her.
Driving the crane - Children's Museum
They even let you drive a car at the Children's Museum. . . It'll be here before we know it. . sniff sniff!
Thanks Dr. Stewart for a great appointment!

Mr. & Mrs. Bennett

So yesterday was a photography mess. I stayed on the phone with the Apple Genius Bar for most of the day trying to get an update in order to get the next program to download. . . then it didn't work. . . then I spent a few more hours trying a different route. . . which of course didn't work either. It was just one crazy mess after another. And I still have to go to the Apple store next week to get it all figured out! Aaggghhh!

Anywho, meet Madison and Jay. Madison's mom is Tricia, THE wedding lady. If you don't know her. . . well you've never had or attended a wedding in Grenada. She does it all. She did my wedding, and I cannot tell you how amazing this woman is. I've worked many weddings for her, so I was flattered that she asked me to do her daughter's wedding. What an honor. This lady has worked with hundreds of photographers . . . and she asked me!

Anyway, back to this precious bride and groom. They were just smitten with each other all day. The groom, as usual was not into pictures, but when his precious bride was around, he couldn't take his hands off her. Which made my job easy. I just got to capture the love.

Their reception might have been the neatest one I have photographed yet. It was in a beautiful old mill that they completely overhauled just for this wedding. Every little detail was perfect. This is a Mississippi magazine dream reception. Check it out!

You Are My Sunshine

2.06.2013

My sweet girl had a cold two weeks ago, and the only thing that seemed to make her content was the sunshine. Arthur is off on Fridays, so I think we stayed outside all day to make this little munchkin happy. Please excuse the dirty face and clothes. . . I did sneak in a bow about halfway through taking pictures. . . I couldn't resist.

Maybe this is a little cruel ( I didn't make her cry ), but one day I think she may enjoy this picture.

What a cutie. . . even with a runny nose and messy shirt.

Kicking the ball with daddy

Papaw and Mimi mailed her a slide for the recovery.

She's a climber

Terra enjoyed all the outdoor fun as well.

Daddy isn't too bad of a photographer himself .

My favorite picture. I love this girl!
