Anne Elise has arrived

10.03.2011

I know she will be 4 weeks tomorrow, but this is my first chance to sit down and blog. Anne Elise has officially arrived into the Wood family, and she is already spoiled rotten!
The delivery was amazing. Dr. Brandy Patterson was amazing, and she made Arthur gown up and deliver his baby. I thought that would be weird when we discussed it before, but it was really special. I'm so glad Arthur got that experience.

She has been quite a joy. The first week was pretty hard, just trying to figure it all out, but we are now on a pretty good routine. She loves to eat, eat, and eat some more. If she's not eating, she's sleeping, or we're strolling. This little girl loves to be on the move. I stroll our neighborhood nonstop. I've gotten to be friends with all the builders and workers doing development in the neighborhood. They know our schedule, and when we'll be out.
We've had lots of visitors, and we just love it. My mom, dad, and sister have been lighting up the road between Tupelo and Grenada. Aunt Holly was here for her first bath. After she screamed the entire time I bathed her, Aunt Holly got to come to the rescue and bundle her in the towel. Pop and Gigi (Arthur's mom and dad) have also been spoiling the sweet girl. Gigi also came and stayed and did the night shifts for us. It was nice to get some rest. We love it when anyone takes the night shift for us.

I just love this little girl. I cannot imagine life without her. Being a mommy is amazing, and it's by far the best job ever. There is no doubt she's a daddy's girl. He spoils her rotten. There isn't a wimper that goes unnoticed by him, and she know it. She gets her way with Daddy.
